Books-A-Million is hiring for a Keyholder who will serve as a limited Manager on Duty and help maintain store security and operations in Oak Ridge, TN. The role emphasizes leadership over assigned categories, customer service, and adherence to company policies.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, prior supervisory experience, be 18+, and successfully pass background screenings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for daily store activities and team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role is required.
• 18 years of age or older and successful completion of all background screenings are required.
• Computer and cash register skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in adherence to all Company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Operates the store as a limited Manager On Duty in conjunction with the management team.
• Maintains the physical security of the store they are assigned, and in doing so is a key-holding member of management.
• Ensures highest level of customer service and handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintains category merchandising and cleanliness and ensures operational efficiency.
• Trains and develops Associates within category and facilitates cross-training for further development.
• Facilitates effective communication to all store Associates through daily briefings and weekly and monthly meetings.
• Drops off bank deposit and picks up change order as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.
