Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a Keyholder who will act as a limited Manager on Duty, maintaining store security and supporting the management team. You will lead category teams, ensure merchandising standards, and uphold company policies while delivering strong customer service.

The role emphasizes training Associates, effective communication, and daily operations tasks such as banking and cash handling. Candidates should have a high school diploma, supervisory experience, and basic POS skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all background screenings.
• Computer and cash register skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in adherence to all Company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Operates the store as a limited Manager On Duty in conjunction with the management team.
• Maintains the physical security of the store they are assigned, and is a key-holding member of management.
• Ensures highest level of customer service and handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintains category merchandising and cleanliness and ensures operational efficiency.
• Trains and develops Associates within category and facilitates cross-training for further development.
• Facilitates effective communication to all store Associates through daily briefings and weekly and monthly meetings.
• Drops off bank deposit and picks up change order as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
