Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a Keyholder to act as limited Manager on Duty, maintaining store security and leading the assigned category team. You will support management, ensure merchandising standards, and provide strong customer service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, previous supervisor experience, and ability to pass background screenings. The role requires standing for long periods and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned category team and drive store profitability and customer service in line with company policies.
• Operate the store as a limited Manager On Duty with the management team.
• Maintain store security as a key-holding manager while on duty.
• Maintain category merchandising and cleanliness and ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage stock levels within the monthly budget and cadence the category cadence.
• Audit buyback throughout the day to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Ensure the highest level of customer service and resolve complaints satisfactorily.
• Train and develop Associates within the category and facilitate cross-training.
• Communicate store updates through daily briefings and regular meetings.
• Handle bank deposits and cash handling tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
