Books A Million is seeking a Keyholder who will act as a limited Manager on Duty, safeguarding the store and guiding the team in daily operations.

The role emphasizes leading category teams, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring financial controls while delivering excellent customer service. Candidates should be at least 18 with prior supervisory experience and pass background screenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in adherence with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Operates the store as a limited Manager On Duty in conjunction with the management team.
• Maintains the physical security of the store as a key-holding member of management.
• Maintains category merchandising and cleanliness and ensures operational efficiency.
• Maintains stock levels within the monthly budget and cadencing for the category.
• Audits buyback and ensures policies are followed throughout the day.
• Handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Trains and develops Associates and facilitates cross-training for growth.
• Facilitates daily briefings and weekly/monthly meetings to communicate with staff.
• Drops off bank deposits and handles change orders as needed.
