Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a Keyholder to act as a limited Manager on Duty, oversee store operations, and safeguard physical security under the direction of the management team.

Responsibilities include leading category teams, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining merchandising standards, and training associates. The role requires completing background screenings and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes profits and customer service by leading assigned category team and operating the store in adherence to all Company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Operates the store as a limited Manager On Duty in conjunction with the management team.
• Maintains the physical security of the store they are assigned, and in doing so is a key-holding member of management.
• Ensures highest level of customer service and handles customer complaints to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Maintains category merchandising and cleanliness and ensures operational efficiency.
• Trains and develops Associates within category and facilitates cross‑training for further development.
• Facilitates effective communication to all store Associates through daily briefings and weekly and monthly meetings.
• Drops off bank deposit and picks up change order as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.
