What You’ll Do

Reporting to the SVP, Sales, Life Sciences, the Account Vice President manages the relationship with a major biopharma partner, leading a team responsible for sales, delivery, and KPIs. The role involves developing strategies for success, overseeing a Key Account Director and Project Manager, and focusing on high-level account management, scientific collaboration, and partnership growth.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute account strategies, collaborating with teams to meet revenue goals.
    • Act as the executive owner of the account, aligning objectives with senior partners.
  2. Client Engagement:
    • Build relationships with executive and R&D leaders, promoting engagement and strategic collaboration.
    • Understand partner strategies to leverage Tempus platform for innovation.
  3. Revenue and Growth:
    • Achieve revenue targets and identify new business opportunities.
    • Negotiate large, multi-year contracts.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Lead teams across functions to deliver value efficiently.
    • Guide team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  5. Thought Leadership:
    • Create case studies showcasing Tempus’ impact in precision medicine.
    • Provide market feedback to leadership.
  6. Operational Excellence:
    • Monitor and report progress on objectives and revenue.
    • Travel approximately 40% domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership in high-growth environments and ability to influence teams.
  • Deep relationships within pharma and biotech sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills and adaptability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills.
Experience
  • 10+ years in business development, sales, or account management in Life Sciences.
  • 5+ years working with R&D or Real-World Data companies.
  • Track record of negotiating large, complex agreements.
  • Knowledge of molecular data and AI applications.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
