What You’ll Do

Reporting directly to the SVP, Sales, Life Sciences, the Account Vice President (Account VP) oversees the business relationship between Tempus and a major biopharma partner. The role involves leading a team responsible for sales, delivery, execution, revenue, and KPIs. The Account VP develops strategies to ensure success and growth, managing and guiding a team including a Key Account Director and Project Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute account strategies, collaborate with teams, and act as the executive owner of the account.
  • Client Engagement: Build relationships with senior client stakeholders, understand their strategy, and identify opportunities for platform leverage.
  • Revenue and Growth: Meet revenue targets, secure new business, and negotiate multi-year contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead teams across functions to deliver value efficiently.
  • Thought Leadership: Develop case studies and provide market feedback.
  • Operational Excellence: Track progress, report to leadership, and travel as needed.
Qualifications
  • Leadership in high-growth environments, ability to influence teams without direct authority.
  • Deep relationships in pharma and biotech sectors, experience managing complex client relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills, adaptability, and ability to inspire teams.
Experience
  • 10+ years in business development, sales, or account management in Life Sciences, with 5+ years in R&D or Real-World Data.
  • Proven track record in negotiating large agreements and understanding molecular data and AI in drug development.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
