Job summary

Math Corps, powered by AmeriCorps and administered by Ampact, seeks a Math Tutor to support students in local schools. You will conduct small-group sessions, track progress, and participate in coaching and training to continually improve outcomes.

You'll work with groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes daily, following a school schedule, and help students regain classroom flow after sessions. This role offers meaningful service and skill-building opportunities.

Qualifications

Dependable with a history of good attendance.
Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
18+ with high school diploma or equivalent.
U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
Share experience with the community.
