Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking tutors to work with students in local schools. You’ll lead small groups for targeted math practice and track progress with an on-site coach. This AmeriCorps role emphasizes coaching, training, and community involvement.

Part-time and full-time schedules run during the 2026-27 school year, with weekday daytime hours, no weekends, and opportunities to grow through feedback and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and use feedback for improvement.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Grow through coaching and training opportunities.
• Share tutoring experience with the community.
