Job summary

Ampact seeks a Math Tutor for Math Corps to help students at a local school build math skills and confidence. You’ll lead short tutoring sessions, track progress, and collaborate with school staff in a supportive AmeriCorps environment.

Trainings, coaching, and ongoing development are offered, with 35 hours per week and daytime hours, Monday through Friday. Part-time roles at 25 hours per week are available as well.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable with a history of good attendance and punctuality.
• Able to follow instructions and implement feedback.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
