Job summary

Math Corps, operated by Ampact, is seeking math tutors to work with small groups of students at local schools. You will deliver structured tutoring sessions, follow schedules, and help students build confidence while tracking progress and collaborating with onsite coaches.

We offer AmeriCorps roles with a paid hourly stipend, health insurance options, and education benefits, plus opportunities to serve in a supportive community that emphasizes learning and growth for both students and tutors.

Qualifications

• Be dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
