Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking a Math Tutor to support students at local schools. You’ll tutor groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes and help them return to class between sessions.

We train you to deliver proven activities, coach you every step of the way, and track progress with the on-site coach. AmeriCorps stipend and education awards available; August 2026–June 2027 schedule.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and act on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
