Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact AmeriCorps, seeks tutors to support students at local schools with targeted math practice. You’ll guide groups of up to three students for 20–30 minutes, then help them return to class before the next group arrives. Training and ongoing coaching are provided to help you succeed.

We are hiring for the 2026-27 school year with 35 hours per week, daytime hours, Monday–Friday, no weekends. Part-time options (27.5 or 20 hours) are also available.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to complete a background check successfully.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for groups of up to three students.
• Adhere to schedule to ensure consistent support.
• Track student progress and consult with on-site coach.
• Record student scores in the data system and monitor growth.
• Engage in coaching and training for personal development.
• Share experiences with the community.
