Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a field sales professional to present digital product solutions to K-12 districts and schools. You will meet with decision-makers, drive revenue growth, and align offerings with district learning goals.

You will cultivate relationships, diagnose needs, and tailor proposals that fit classroom challenges while managing a national sales territory and balancing existing accounts with new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of curriculum needs for K-12 teachers and librarians.
• Proven record of consistent sales and goal achievement.
• Focused on diagnosing needs before pitching solutions.
• Proposes personalized, relevant solutions based on district or classroom challenges.
• Ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain effective working relationships with customers, internal partners, colleagues, and management.
• Able to articulate how the solution complements core curriculum and improves outcomes.
• Proactively builds targeted lead generation strategies.
• Prioritizes territory activity to balance new business development with existing account growth.

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective customers to explore and present digital product solutions in the K12 market.
• Achieve and exceed the sales revenue goal in assigned sales and operational expense budgets.
• Partner with the highest level of decision-makers within assigned districts to present Cengage solutions.
• Seek new opportunities for growth and develop market share in the territory.
• Participate in network building opportunities within the territory, including conferences and industry events.
