Job summary

Raytheon Portsmouth, RI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to defense systems across radar, missile, and command-and-control platforms. You will participate in the full product lifecycle from concept to prototyping and testing in a collaborative, cross-functional, onsite environment.

This role requires a STEM degree and hands-on CAD experience; a U.S. security clearance is required. Occasional CONUS travel and relocation eligibility are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required by start date.
• Experience with parametric 3D CAD to create models and drawings.
• Design experience through coursework or projects relevant to defense.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and document mechanical components and assemblies.
• Generate and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Validate designs via prototyping, testing, and simulations.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, and integration activities.
• Participate in design reviews and trade studies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
