Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering Organization. You will design, model, and document mechanical components for radar, missiles, and control systems across the product life cycle.

You will collaborate with systems, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to solve complex challenges and deliver high-reliability hardware. Occasional CONUS travel and potential international assignments may occur.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM by start date.
• Experience using parametric 3D CAD to create 3D models, assemblies and drawings.
• Coursework or projects in mechanical design or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and document mechanical components and assemblies per defense requirements.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
• Validate designs via prototyping, testing, and simulations.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, and integration with suppliers.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve technical actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve hardware issues.
