Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Distribution Engineer to join a project team focused on overhead and underground distribution design from 4 kV through 34 kV. You will prepare sketches, perform analyses, and develop work packages for construction and as-builts.

The role supports hybrid work with three days in the office and two remote days. A relocation package may be offered depending on location and candidate qualifications. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• A BS or MS degree in engineering.
• One or more years of experience in electric utility distribution.
• Familiar with codes and distribution software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sketches and details for overhead and underground network services (4 KV through 34 KV).
• Perform structural analyses and short circuit/voltage drop calculations.
• Develop bill of materials and cost estimates.
• Create traffic control plans and permit drawings.
• Analyze and design priority feeds; support maintenance and recapitalization.
• Plan system modifications and develop work packages with as-built deliverables.
