Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a seasoned electrical engineer to lead distribution design for electric utility projects. You will prepare sketches, review details, and collaborate with project teams across upstream and midstream facilities.

This role requires strong communication and leadership to drive design reviews and client interactions. Hybrid work arrangement with three in-office days and two remote days, plus a relocation package depending on location.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 5+ years of experience with electric utility distribution or related to review work.
• Knowledgeable in distribution design methods and their application.
• Familiar with codes/standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.
• Experience with overhead and underground distribution projects (120/208V through 34 kV).
• PLS CADD experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Review construction sketches and details for distribution systems (4 kV through 34 kV).
• Work on project teams with engineers designing upstream and midstream facilities.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and Design Reviews.
• Collaborate with client representatives on distribution design questions.
