Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an engineer to join our distribution team in a hybrid role. The position involves preparing construction sketches and details for 4 KV through 34 KV networks, performing analyses, and supporting maintenance and upgrades of distribution systems.

The candidate will develop work packages, provide as-built documentation, and collaborate with project teams. A BS/MS in engineering and relevant distribution experience are required; knowledge of AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and

Qualifications

BS or MS in engineering required.
One+ years of experience in electric utility distribution.
Knowledge of distribution design methods and their application.
Familiarity with codes and standards (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE).
Experience with distribution software including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman.

Responsibilities

Prepare construction sketches and details for overhead and underground network services (4 KV through 34 KV).
Perform structural analyses, short circuit and voltage drop calculations, BOM, cost estimates.
Develop work packages and provide as-built documentation after construction.
Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
Plan modifications and design complex tasks for distribution projects.
