Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States seeks a senior distribution engineer to lead project teams on electric utility designs (4 kV through 38 kV). You will prepare construction sketches and work packages in a hybrid office/remote setting.

Applicants should have 6+ years of distribution experience, strong communication, and proficiency with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman, and relevant codes (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE). A relevant associate or 4-year degree is required; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of electric utility distribution experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of distribution design methods and applicable codes.
• Familiarity with design codes such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE.
• Ability to review others' work and lead a project team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities.
• Lead engineers/designers in overhead/underground projects (4 KV–38 KV).
• Perform field work and provide construction support when needed.
• Coordinate with clients and perform cost estimates and BOMs.
