Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced distribution design professional in the U.S. hybrid role. You will prepare construction sketches for 4 kV through 34 kV systems, perform short circuit calculations, and develop work packages to troubleshoot and modify distribution networks.

The position requires a strong background in drafting or engineering technology, 10+ years in distribution design, and proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in drafting/engineering technology or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of distribution design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of design techniques and standards for electrical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sketches and details for overhead/underground distribution (4 kV–34 kV).
• Perform short circuit and voltage drop calculations and develop BOMs.
• Develop work packages to troubleshoot, repair, or modify distribution systems.
• Coordinate with project team to plan modifications and scope.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE).
