Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Facilities Data Centers team, focusing on building mechanical systems and HVAC design. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on design, field investigations, and client interfaces across the U.S.

You'll develop design criteria, prepare P&IDs and AFDS, and support equipment sizing and selections while growing under the guidance of Professional Engineers in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping.
• Proficiency in 3D CADD.

Responsibilities

• Develop design criteria, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), and P&IDs.
• Perform field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment.
• Prepare construction design packages and calculations.
• Coordinate with architectural and engineering trades under PE guidance.
