Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to support Building Mechanical/HVAC Systems on our Advanced Facilities Data Centers team.

You will work with engineers and designers on field investigations, equipment sizing, and creating P&IDs and design packages, under Professional Engineer guidance.

The role offers a path to develop design criteria, collaboration across trades, and a hybrid work policy with opportunities across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD.
• Visa Sponsorship is not avialble for this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop design criteria, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), and P&IDs and provide system design calculations.
• Coordinate with other trades under the guidance of Professional Engineers.
• Progress from basic design work to more complex projects with a technical team.
• Perform field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
