Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering on aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role requires work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD with an ACTIVE Secret clearance.
BS in a technical ABET-accredited field is required; two years of software or systems engineering experience and familiarity with avionics are preferred. Responsibilities include developing software requirements, evaluating vendor specs,
Qualifications
- At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- ABET-accredited BS required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
