Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. You will perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.
Active Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret clearance after start. The role requires at least two years of relevant experience and a BS in a technical ABET-accredited program.
Qualifications
- At least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- Active Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret.
- US citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs/SSRs/PDRs/CDRs/TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
