Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. Active Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret later.

This is a future-funded position targeting Sept 1, 2026, with responsibilities spanning software requirements, vendor coordination, and system integration. Two years of software or systems engineering experience and knowledge of avionics are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
