Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This full-time on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. A SECRET clearance is required and US citizenship is needed to obtain it.

Two years of software or systems engineering experience and knowledge of avionics are required. A BS in a technical ABET-accredited program is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of software or systems engineering experience required.
• Knowledge of avionics systems essential.
• BS in a technical ABET-accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
