Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. On-site at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, with funding anticipated to September 1, 2026.

Active Secret clearance is required, with potential Top Secret in the future. Candidates should have at least two years of software or systems engineering experience and knowledge of avionics systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• Active Secret clearance is required; Top Secret clearance may be required after starting work.
• U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
