SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role involves developing and maintaining software requirements, coordinating with vendors, and supporting SE reviews across program life cycles.
Active Secret Clearance is required, with potential for higher clearance. US citizenship is required. A BS in a technical ABET-accredited program is expected, along with 2+ years in software or systems
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
- Knowledge of avionics systems and software.
- BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
- Develop IGCEs.
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
