Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

An active Secret Clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret after starting. Two years of relevant experience and an ABET-accredited BS in a technical field are needed to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• At least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret possible later.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Analyze software defects and coordinate with cybersecurity SMEs.
• Support System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
