Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs, with full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. A Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret after start.

This role supports Agile/SAFe practices and government contract deliverables. Education requires a BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program, and at least two years of software or systems

Qualifications

BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
At least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
Conduct analysis of software defects
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
