Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and an ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential Top Secret in the future.

Two+ years in software/systems engineering and knowledge of avionics are preferred. Responsibilities include requirements, vendor reviews, integration, cybersecurity coordination, and participation in formal

Qualifications

Two years of experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
Knowledge of avionics systems and software engineering practices.
Experience with Agile/SAFe development processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
