Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role requires presence at the NAVAIR base in Patux River, MD and an ACTIVE Secret Clearance with potential for TS later.

The position requires a BS in a technical ABET-accredited program and at least two years of software or systems engineering experience, along with knowledge of avionics systems and familiarity with Agile/SAFe

Qualifications

At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
