Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This full-time on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and requires US citizenship to obtain a security clearance.

The position is future funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
• Develop IGCEs.
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
