Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This on-site role requires an active Secret clearance and is based at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.
Future funding means a September 1, 2026 start or later. The position involves developing software requirements, coordinating vendor software integration, and supporting Agile/SAFe practices while collaborating
Qualifications
- Two years experience in software or systems engineering.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- ABET-accredited BS in a technical field.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the ECP process and SOW/CDRL reviews.
- Develop IGCEs and assist technical evaluations of proposals.
