Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for full-time on-site work at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. An active Secret clearance is required, with potential Top Secret consideration after start.

The role involves software and systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. The position is future funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026.

Qualifications

At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
Conduct analysis of software defects
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
