Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role requires presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and may require obtaining clearances as needed.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of software or systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• BS in a technical ABET-accredited program.
• Active Secret clearance (upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and CDRLs.
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
