SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to support software systems engineering for aviation programs. The role requires on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD, and an ACTIVE Secret Clearance with potential for Top Secret later.

The position is funded and starts after September 1, 2026. Applicants should have at least two years of software or systems engineering experience and knowledge of avionics.

Qualifications

• Two years of software or systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Analyze software defects and coordinate with cybersecurity experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews and ECP process.
• Support Agile/SAFe team processes and SOW/CDRL development.
