Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD. This is a full-time, on-site role with future funding and a start not expected before 1 September 2026.
The position requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance (Top Secret possible later) and US citizenship. Responsibilities include developing software requirements, vendor coordination, integration, defect analysis, and
Qualifications
- Two+ years of software or systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- ABET-accredited BS in technical discipline required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
- Develop IGCEs.
- Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
