Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an enterprising junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs.

Position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with an anticipated start after September 1, 2026. An ACTIVE Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret after commencing work. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret possible after start; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs/SSRs/PDRs/CDRs/TRRs).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
