Job summary

Gordian, part of Fortive, is seeking an Account Manager based in Washington, DC to support and train clients on Job Order Contracting (JOC) products and services within a defined geographic area. The role emphasizes professionalism, construction knowledge, and delivering results using Gordian’s data and software, while building strong client relationships.

The position requires 5+ years in construction procurement or related fields, travel up to 50%, and a commitment to client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience in a related field.
• 5+ years in construction procurement, construction management, or general contracting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with proven ability to train clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain schedules to accomplish procurement objectives for clients.
• Oversee development and review of project scope and proposals to ensure contract compliance.
• Read construction plans and perform price Proposal reviews; prepare detailed line-item proposals.
• Train contractors in Gordian software and client procedures; assist in bidding.
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
