Job summary

Amazon is seeking an IT Support Engineer I to implement technical solutions and provide high-quality support for hardware, OS, and enterprise software across sites in a defined region. You will troubleshoot straightforward issues and deviate from SOPs when needed to achieve results.

You will support infrastructure during production hours, work on local IT projects, and collaborate with management to improve processes while maintaining service availability.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 2+ years of professional experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
• 2+ years of networking (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP).
• 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation.
• 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery.
• Fluent in Cisco/networking and either Linux and/or Microsoft.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Network engineering and troubleshooting across diverse software/hardware environments.
• Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems are available during production hours.
• Provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous IT solution improvements.
• Manage local technical projects.
• Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identify root-causes of operational issues and inefficiencies.
• Move up to 49lbs; stand/walk up to 12 hours.
• Support customers from multiple buildings and remote sites.
• Travel regionally to support customers.
