Job summary

Amazon seeks an IT Support Engineer I for Ops Tech Solutions in Baltimore, MD. You will diagnose hardware, OS, and enterprise software issues, deliver high-quality support, and help keep production systems up and running.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of professional IT experience in a multi-user high availability environment
• 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSL)
• 2+ years of PC repair, deployment and liquidation experience
• 1+ years IT client, server, and network service delivery experience
• Fluent in Cisco networking and either Linux and/or Microsoft
• Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco/CCNA, AWS (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling and systems administration
• Ensuring infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours
• Interacting with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for IT solutions
• Managing local technical projects
• Maintaining or creating policies, procedures, and processes
• Identifying root-causes of operational issues and inefficiencies
• Moving up to 49lbs and standing/walking up to 12 hours
• Traveling up to 25% of the time
