Job summary

Amazon in Edison, NJ is hiring an IT Support Engineer I to implement technical solutions and provide high-quality support for hardware, operating systems, or enterprise software across sites in the region. You will troubleshoot straightforward issues and support IT solutions while complying with standard practices.

The role requires a strong foundation in networking, Linux and Windows administration, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma.
2+ years of professional experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in one or more IT related fields including networking, Linux administration, Microsoft administration, and/or Cisco network configuration and management.
2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment experience.
2+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience.
2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience.
1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

Network engineering and troubleshooting in various software/hardware environments.
Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
Provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous IT improvements.
Manage local technical projects.
Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
Identify root-causes of operational issues and inefficiencies.
Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
Support customers from multiple buildings and remote sites.
Travel within local/regional area to support customers.
