Job summary

Amazon is hiring an IT Support Engineer I in Garner, NC to implement technical solutions and provide high-quality support for hardware, OS, and applications across sites in a defined geographic area.

You will troubleshoot straightforward problems, support IT infrastructure, and work on projects to improve IT solutions while traveling locally to support customers and sites. The role demands physical activity and 12-hour shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 2+ years of professional IT experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in IT fields including networking, Linux administration, Microsoft administration, and/or Cisco network configuration
• 2+ years troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment
• 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI model, TCP/IP)
• 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation
• 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery
• Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License

Responsibilities

• Network engineering and troubleshooting across varied software/hardware environments.
• Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
• Provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
• Manage local technical projects.
• Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
• Identify root-causes of operational issues and inefficiencies.
