Cardinal Health in the United States is seeking a Director of IT PMO to shape the portfolio and maximize strategic value. This role oversees a global IT initiative portfolio, ensuring projects are on time, within scope and budget while delivering real business outcomes.

You will drive proactive decision-making with Planview, foster a high-trust culture, and mentor a team of project managers across remote locations, balancing enterprise needs with vendor partnerships.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years in IT project/program management, with 5+ years in people leadership.
• Experience expanding PMOs from execution to value-driven organizations.
• Planview experience is preferred but not required.
• Designing governance and 'shift left' processes including pre-project sizing.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership, with ability to navigate ambiguity.
• PMP or similar certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shape the IT PMO portfolio to maximize strategic value.
• Lead adoption of Planview and AI-driven insights for proactive decisions.
• Develop and coach project managers to build a future-ready workforce.
