Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a PMO-focused professional in Chicago to support utility and energy technology implementations, ensuring governance and timely delivery.

You will coordinate schedules, RAID logs, risk tracking, and status reporting across multiple workstreams while collaborating with project managers, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive execution and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to client engagement.
• 9+ years post-graduation work experience required (or 7+ with Associate’s, or 5+ with Bachelor’s).
• Total experience must include 4+ years in PMO, project controls, or related roles in Utilities or Energy.
• Experience supporting technology implementation projects in utilities or regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of PMO methodologies, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, report, track issues/risks, and coordinate stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel and work in Guidehouse or Client offices.

Responsibilities

• Provide PMO support to utility and energy provider clients on technology implementation projects.
• Support project planning, tracking, reporting, and governance across multiple workstreams.
• Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, RAID logs, action items, status reports, and PMO deliverables.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas/materials, capture decisions, and follow up on actions to ensure timely completion.
• Partner with project managers, client stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive execution and issue resolution.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and assist with mitigation planning and escalation.
• Support process improvement to strengthen PMO practices, project controls, and delivery consistency.
• Contribute to clear and effective communication across internal teams and external client stakeholders.
