• Serve as the initial point of coordination for technology incidents, ensuring issues are documented, prioritized, assigned, and escalated appropriately.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, network connectivity, system alerts, and service performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Observe IBM Mainframe console activity and identify system alerts, abnormal conditions, and operational issues.
• Review and assist with validating Job Control Language (JCL) and related batch‑processing activities.
• Maintain accurate incident records, status updates, and escalation notes in accordance with established procedures.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams, application support personnel, vendors, and business stakeholders during incident resolution.
• Support routine IT operations, scheduled activities, and other technical assignments as required.
• Follow established operational procedures and participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of support.

We are seeking an IT Operations & Mainframe Monitoring Specialist to support enterprise infrastructure operations, system monitoring, and incident coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with IBM Mainframe environments, infrastructure monitoring platforms, and IT incident management procedures.

This position requires strong troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills to help maintain system availability and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of coordination for technology incidents, ensuring issues are documented, prioritized, assigned, and escalated appropriately.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, network connectivity, system alerts, and service performance using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Observe IBM Mainframe console activity and identify system alerts, abnormal conditions, and operational issues.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands‑on familiarity with IBM Mainframe environments.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as What's Up Gold, Pingdom, and PRTG.
• At least 5 years of Microsoft Teams experience.
• Understanding of incident triage, escalation, tracking, and operational support processes.
• Familiarity with JCL and mainframe batch‑processing concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required for operational duties.
