Job summary

Eitacies Inc in Michigan is seeking a Mainframe Operator / Level 1 Incident Manager for an onsite role in Pontiac. The position requires experience handling critical IT incidents and strong communication with IT staff, customers and vendors.

You will monitor mainframe control consoles, review job control language, and use monitoring tools to track availability and performance. The role may require lifting 50 pounds and shift work including holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with IBM Mainframe and incident management.
• Strong written and verbal communication across IT staff, customers and vendors.
• Ability to work onsite and adapt to shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Level 1 Incident Manager for critical IT incidents and events.
• Triage and track customer technology incidents and communicate with stakeholders.
• Monitor infrastructure using graphical tools to assess availability and status.
• Assist with review/validation of mainframe job control language and system performance.
• Perform deliveries as assigned and lift 50 pounds; support holiday/shift coverage.

Job Description

Functions as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical incidents/events relating to various IT technology.

Quickly create, escape, triage and track customer technology related incidents. Excellent communication skills necessary to collaborate with IT staff, customers and vendors.

Utilize graphical monitoring systems tracking availability and status of infrastructure connectivity, assets and services.

Monitors mainframe control consoles, periodically checking system performance. May assist with the review/validation of mainframe job control language.

Perform deliveries as assigned and must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Applicants could be requested to work holidays, days, afternoons and/or midnight shifts.

Technical Environment

Must have an in-depth knowledge and at least 5 years of experience with:
