Amazon is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead a globally distributed team of IT professionals within our Operations Technology Solutions group in Texas. You will oversee infrastructure builds, provide technical support, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering reliable IT services for Fulfillment and Logistics.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of team leadership, Linux/Unix administration, and a Bachelor's degree (or 4+ years of equivalent experience).

Qualifications

Lead a team of IT professionals across multiple locations.
2+ years leading technology teams as an IT operations manager.
Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional or military experience.
Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration.

Responsibilities

Hire, train, and develop a team of IT professionals.
Support safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
Interact with management and staff to provide technical assistance for IT solutions.
Establish and maintain a positive, productive relationship with operational partners and staff.
Lead infrastructure builds in new facilities.
Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise day-to-day IT support activities.
Monitor and manage SLA performance for contact and resolution.
Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and processes.
Oversee equipment and parts inventory management.
Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
Travel up to 30%.
